All in all, HEMP and CBD oil are considered federally legal in all 50 states. Anyone in the United States can legally buy HEMP or CBD oil on health store shelves, some pet stores, and the internet.

In general, HEMP and CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream within 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on the method of delivery. Other variables like the dosage, full spectrum or THC-free, consistency, and quality can also play a role in how quickly you begin to feel the benefits of HEMP and CBD.

Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant. Of over 480 different compounds present in the plant, only around 66 are termed cannabinoids.

In most cases, it's highly unlikely that HEMP and CBD oil will show up on a drug test. Most employment drug tests specifically look for the presence of THC or THC metabolites. Most employers abide by the guidelines set forth by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA), which includes detection for THC but not CBD. 

HEMP and CBD can be extracted from a cannabis plant, but it doesn't have the same ability to create a “high” or state of euphoria as marijuana or THC. CBD may help you feel relaxed or less anxious, but you won't get high if you choose to use a HEMP-infused oil, tincture, edible, or other product.
